Replace missing caps for fuse holders.

I have an Adcom GFA-555II that has four missing caps for the fuse holders. There is one cap that is not missing and the circumference of the metal ring is 8.5mm and 11.4 mm for the plastic cap that holds the metal part. The cap itself sits flush with the holder when screwed all the way in. Of course it would be much easier to find replacement caps then to replace the entire assembly that's buried at the bottom of the chassis. Does anybody know a source for a screw type fuse cap for an AGC style fuse?

Thanks for your reply.

Yes. I'd be fine with that and I should have made that more clear.

Thanks for your reply.

Wouldn't the easiest thing be to find a complete matching fuse holder, and use just the cap?

I've never seen fuse-holder caps sold separately.

It all depends on the make and model of the fuseholder. I believe that Littlefuse does sell the fuse caps seperately on certain models of their fuseholders.

They would have to be the same brand of fuseholder. Can you see any markings on the remaining cap, or one of the fuseholder bodies?

The only excess I have right now are the square red Littelfuse push in caps:

According to my files, I still have 120 of them.

Hi Michael,

I found that the markings say EDK. Here is a photo of it I found online.

Unfortunately, it seems they only have one in stock.

Thanks for your reply.

The kind that you are apperently looking for was generally called an extractor post.

Many supply houses have them. Finding the exact type is the biggest problem so be sure that you look for the proper fuse type IE: 3AG etc carrier.
