Pioneer Radio Problems

I have a Pioneer DEH-425 radio and i am experiencing problems. Everything works but no power goes through to the speakers. I installed the radio and did not put in the voltage regulator piece that is in the power wire. it worked for aprox. 2 months and then this happened. Any help would be apreciated.

First check your speakers to be sure they are not blown (open) for some reason, then check all your speaker connections for the correct continuity with no shorts or open connections. Then check all of the other wiring behind the radio. They should all be soldered or crimped and covered with something permanent like heat shrink tubing. Twisting wires together and covering with electrical tape is not the way to go. If all connections are correct then remove the stereo and reurn it if it's under warranty. Otherwise you will need to have it serviced. I don't think that was a regulator you left out, possibly it was a noise filter. Either way you should always connect things exactly the way the instructions and diagrams say.
