OT: Scientific Atlanta Model 6703-0505

Found a Scientific Atlanta - model: 6703-0505 (inspected 08/18/1984) while cleaning up some crap and was wondering if it was worth trying to find someone in the SW Chicago area that may want to use it for who knows what, or should I just toss it in the garbage?

Looking to give it away, not sell it. Worth the trouble to try and locate someone???

OK, I give up. Perhaps you could describe what it is or should that be intuitively obvious from the model number? :)

============== Oh yeah, I guess it would help if I said what it was!

An old (as you can tell by the inspected date) cable box converter. I can't even google the model number ;-(
