rupert: You would be best advised to troubleshoot, test and fix the inverter board..... possibly faulty things like high esr electrolytics, bad choppers, blown smd fuses, cracked solder connections, etc, etc. ..... also the fault can be in the main power supply board..... same stuff to test. electricitym . .

It is very common that the capacitors on that board go defective. It is best to re-cap the complete board. Also, the lamps can cause problems.

thanks for all your posts i reall appreciate your help!!!!!!!!!!!

i have already eliminated the power supply board,

and many of the larger surface mount components i will try to recap as many of the capacitors as i can, but many of them are subminature and i dont know what values to use but fingers crossed anyway

i tried to replace the capacitor but i dont know what values to get for the polyester ones: there are 6 in total (4 r75 mkp S6 .068 J 250 & 2 off r75 mkp RN .033 J 250)

does any one know where i can get these i was not sure whether the value 250 was a Dc voltage or Ac

1 last question can i not just buy a replacement board from somewhere, that has a similar spec?

hi ther i have bought an esr tester and tested all the caps as okay, by this time i was pulling my hair out, but then i decided to remove the transformers from the board and test them............................. at last i spotted a open circuit on

1 of the windings

great or so i thought

i cant find the transformer anywhere its a TOKO INC one

i have looked on the website and there are some very similar ones but not the same

it has 1004TG T011 04346 on the top of it

any ideas

thanks in advance
