Ha ! Seems we were cast out of the same mould. I too do many audio PA repairs, most for a music shop local to the village where I live, and I am never happier than when they are tube amps, which is where I cut my teeth in this business. The majority of the amps that my guy sells now, are either full tube types, or tube hybrids. I don't know about over your side of the pond, but here, there are very few of us left who are prepared to even look at these, let alone stand a chance of sorting problems. N.Cook who posts regularly on here, is another I think, but geographically he's quite a long way from me. I am also a licensed ham radio operator ( an old-school " G " call, not one of these new fangled " M's " ) and am heavily into home-brew and service, but sadly lack the time these days to do as much as I used ... Anyway, all OT stuff, so I'll not clog it all up any further d;~}
