Hi,
I've been given a Grundig ST 70-775 DPL (CUC 2040 chassis) to repair which has an odd problem.
After a short time (time is intermittant), the picture will roll upwards and appear to compress, then the TV will go into standby mode.
Has anyone come across this before, or can offer any advice?

resolder all pins in and around the vertical IC. had to do this last year on a similar set.
-B PS. holding down 'i' on the remote at switch on (if i recall correctly) puts the set in service mode and defeats the protection shutdown so you can see the problem but BEWARE this can harm the set if left on.
