Cerwin Vega Sub Woofer -- buzzy distortion

I have a Cerwin Vega HT-S12A subwoofer that has begun making anelectronic distortion. The speaker itself seems fine when I do a pushpull and tap -- no voice coil rub. Just putting my hand near thespeaker causes a slight humming, however. The gain of the unit seemsOK, it gets pretty loud, but the louder you turn it the louder thedistortion gets. I've taken to turning the unit off because even whenit's getting no signal it will start to hum and buzz sometimes. Not a60 cycle sounding hum, a buzzy distortion.Any troubleshooting ideas?Thanks and Happy Holidays!Paul

Aw come on now Arf. I haven't had to bitch-slap one of these 'full of their own s*it' posers in a long time.

Funny though how it keeps replying as if some magical force compells it to press the read button when my posts are highlighted.
