CEN-TECH 10/2/50A 12v Manual Charger Burned out

I have a Harbor Freight Cen-Tech Battery charger SKU 60653. I was attempti ng to charge my riding mower battery when it fried. I inspected the inside s and found that the thermal fuse was melted and a relay had burned out. I replaced the relay with the same Songle Relay SRU-06VDC-SL-C type. The t hermal fuse was different. I used a 50A Auto Automatic Reset Stud Type Cir cuit Breaker for the thermal fuse. When I plugged it in and attached it to my mower battery it lite up and see med to be in a cycle of charging. I had it set to 2 amps. I assumed by the noise it was making, buzzing followed by silence. Only thing was the anal og meter wasn't moving, it was stuck at 100%. After a few cycles it popped and started smoking. The SRU-06VDC-SL-C relay went out in the same spot t he original did. There is a metal leg? in between 2 others and this contin ues to blow out. I resoldered a 3rd one and it blew the same spot. Can anyone suggest what I should be test/measuring and why the relay keeps going out? I'm not giving up on the charger just yet. I didn't test any of the diodes. Not sure how yet. Thanks.

In modern chats and forums people are very helpful and even if they don't h ave an answer they sometimes provide a direction. They certainly don't go on the offensive. Lol. I think we should start another pool. Since we already had a winner in the over/under (10 days) and since that is long since blasted, we should have another over/under (respond by email) to see how long we can keep him twist ing. At least once a week, someone should poke the squirrel with a "boo" a nd see how long he continues to respond. I think this won't be days but ma ny weeks, so we should decide how many weeks for the new over/under pool. We also need to set a window for response, say 5 days. Once the squirrel s tops responding for a window of 5 days, a winner will be declared. Anyone with suggestions for duration of the new over/under pool should not respond here but by email for obvious reasons. BTW, I had "under" for the 10 day challenge and need another shot..

My "Boo" is entirely automated, and weekdays only. With your idea in mind, I have stopped it for now.

My position towards this accretion is that it is much like the individual I knew who could be 'had' for $0.60/hour - or less. It is not bright enough to automate its responses, so I say... November 10.

Hey pony troll! So I had a blast last night. Our table was out, grill was on and family was relaxing. Then I wipped out the tablet and decided to s hare my little secret.
