Caution! Toshiba projector about QA02 EEPROM reset. DO NOT!

Do, not ever reset those QA02 eeprom on those models that is "TNxxxxx" models. It is a bug in these models, ruins the EEPROM contents and requires new pre-programmed IC.

Boy I was pissed when I finally found out on google. Even toshiba didn't warn me about it either even we inquired. Toshiba did have several bulletins but we would have to ask for them because we don't work for Toshiba but can get parts.

I did recall that there was another bug on eariler Toshiba models I think, 55A50 not sure but it is like that, if you roll over from end to beginning of perameters, several settings get changed.

I have not seen like this kind of firmware bugs idiocity Toshiba is doing compared to other brands even JVC, Thomson, Samsung. If these discovered a bug, they send out bulletins and provide new part numbers with revisved firmware, Toshiba, hard to see.

Done with ranting; I have question:

I have a TN50X81 that needs a QA02 eeprom and I need identifying correct EEPROM part number based on certain range of serial number according to bulletin (found it on google). I have is 6399155529 s/n. The bulletin refers to later models.

Thanks & Cheers, Wizard
