Almost all Aiwas use pickups from the standard Sony " KSS " series, which are readily available from just about any component dealer or repair shop, worldwide. Look on the little pcb at the back of the pickup, where the connection ( white flexiprint or two connectors with wires ), and see if there is a little sticker which says " KSS213B " or " KSS213C " or .... D or .....E or .... F. Some were fitted with a KSS210A or even a " B ".

This is the number that these pickups are usually sold by, and you should have no trouble finding them for sale in Canada. They are not expensive. They are usually available as the genuine Sony article, or even cheaper clones. In my experience, the Aiwas tend to prefer the genuine article. Also, don't be palmed off with the wrong letter. " Any old KSS213 in those is ok ". Don't listen. It's not. If you get really stuck, any Sony spares agent should be able to obtain it for you under the Aiwa part number that you have. Sony own Aiwa, and a couple of years ago, took over the handling of all the spares.

Don't forget to remove the anti-static shorting link before fitting.. John.
