Hi I am working with Linux kernel 2.4.6 and I am trying to port the kernel to a new board that includes MIPS processor. I have a new ATAPI HW and I would like that Linux will identify it and work with it. I have read the ide driver and tried to figure out how to add my new HW. My ATAPI is not a PCI type and I couldnt find a non-PCI HW as an example to learn from in the Linux directories. My question is:
Where can I find a documentation on how to add a new HW?!
