framebuffer for qt

Feb 21, 2005 1 Replies

Hi everybody,

i want to use qt-embedded on my x86-based target. How do i activate the framebuffer device for this? Do i just have to compile the kernel with support for framebuffer and append a vga=xxxx option to the kernel?( see various howto's)? If i did so, seeing the linux-logo at boot time, means that i have my framebuffer active and able to use with qtembedded?

thanx chris

Yes if you see Tux, you got fb0 up and running. Ciao
