Embeded linux q's

What is embedded linux and what does it do? Why would I want to download it? would it work with Mandrake?

Hi teak,

embedded linux is (generally) a smaller version of the linux/gnu kernel and/or operating system for what are known as 'embedded devices' things like DVD players, some mp3 players, network routers etc. any "computer-like" device that's smaller than a normal PC.

If you're asking these questions, you probabaly don't.

This question doesn't really apply anymore, but yes, you could build a copy of embedded linux on a Mandrake system.
