embedded baord with RS-485 and ethernet

hey



i am looking to purchase a simple development board that has an ethernet port and an RS485 socket. can anyone advise? having problems locating a suitable device.


Hey you should check out the Cyclades-TS100, which has only ethernet and rs 485.

also check out embeddedarm.com - they can add RS485 to most of their boards.

Anything with an AT91RM9200 or AT91SAM9260 should do. These chips have H/W support for RS-485, so the RS485 enable signal does not need to be managed. You just configure the USART to be in RS-485 mode, and it will enable/disable the transceiver automatically.
