Busybox/uClibc networking problem

Hello! I have problems to run ipv4 networking support on my tiny linux box (i386, 4MB RAM, 3COM509, Kernel 2.4.25, busybox 1.00pre10). System is running but some commands like ping, traceroute... say "illegal instruction". Ifconfig shows that eth0 and lo devices are up, but no ipaddress is shown. I found a posting in a mailinglist where someone said that it could be missing floating point support or problems with the toolchain. My toolchain is GCC 3.3.3 i386-linux-uClibc and floating point emulation of for the 386SX (without numeric-coprocessor) is activated.

Thanks for any help! Andreas
