Does anybody know where I can get a part like the following off the self?
A single row of LEDs (preferably about 8 LEDs). LEDs must be individually switchable. Strip should be about 6 inches long (LED spacing .75 inches). Size is not too critical. Anything 3 inches to 8 inches will work just fine. Preferably the leads will extend to one end of the strip. I don't care about LED color. I would prefer brighter LEDs but just about anything will do.

Hi Mike,
Osram makes LED strips, with similar requirements that you are asking, however, they cannot be switched individually, only as a strip.
They are very bright, can be cut into short lengths, they also come multi colour which mix to white.
