Mount a graphical LCD module

Nov 10, 2004 1 Replies

Hi,

What is the usual ways to mount a graphical LCD module to the case?

I have thought 2 ways:

1.Use copper rods to mount the LCD to my target MCU board and so there is no need to screw the LCD to the case.

  1. Screw the LCD to the case and use flat cable to connect it to the target board.

Thanks!

Here is an example of an DIL LCD fitted to a PCB just using the sockets and retained by the case lid.

Main problem is water/dust entry. It's also possible to get a bezel.
