how can i do to make it work with this old devices?experimenting with an old board i need to add xcs30 and i need a tool(older impact versions) for programming it,i guess that treatin it as an xc2s30 is not the right way to proceed Thanks to everyone Diego

It's worse than Aurelian says.

The newest version that supports these parts is 4.2i, but you must use schematic entry. Xilinx is no longer allowed to provide a synthesys license for these parts, and XST has never supported them.
