Hi,
I would like to know if there is a away to change the random seed used by the Xilinx tools ?
I would like to do this in order to compare the results of multiple place and routes.

Under MAP or PAR properties (right click) change the "Starting Placer Cost Table (1-100)"
You could also try enabling Multi Pass PAR...

Multi Pass PAR has problems in several versions of the tools. Another option is using command-line and the -t option. par ... -t n ... where n is the seed. Then you can have your own multi-pass batch file that works the same as single pass.
