WTD: 1 GHz Phase Locked Oscillator

Looking for a PLO that can be locked to a 10 MHz reference, must cover range around 1 GHz. Anyone have such a device ?

Thanks, Dick, W1KSZ

Look for a microwave "brick" local oscillator. They have a 100 MHz (or so) crystal oscillator, a phase locked 1 to 1.5 (or so) oscillator and a multiplier and filter. The multiplier and filter can be removed and the remaining parts can be used. A simple modification to the crystal oscillator will allow it to be locked to a 10 MHz source.

A PLL board is available to lock the 100 MHz to the 10 MHz.

Depends on the frequency you need whether the above will work and whether you need one or many.

If you don't mind building it yourself, this is old but it works:

You don't specify your phase noise, tuning range or tuning speed requirements...
