Looking for a UK->US voltage converter either new or second hand. Needs to be capable of supplying a few amps. For an old piece of test equipment.

Cheers

You gave no indication of the required wattage (few amps?), however you might consider a builders site transformer. These are 240v to 110v with the secondary winding centre tapped and taken to ground (55v between ground and each of the two output pins).

They come in various sizes from 300watts up to several Kw, cased up and often potted, usually yellow in colour, they are also quite cheap. Car boot sales are a good source of second-hand ones.
