for wireless microphones: is using 176.2MHz legal in the UK or is this frequency already allocated elsewhere? I tried googling around - I found some tables here and there about available frequencies but I couldn't find any info on this particular frequency. Thanks for any help.

In the US wireless mics are in the 6 mhz channel allocation of tv channels. In the UK this is not allowed. So if there is a TV station on or near that frequency..then no..If not , you're probably ok
