We're looking for a Mechanical Designer to independently design equipment and optical systems used in various products and related research projects at Google. A Mechanical Engineering degree is not required but is desired, though the emphasis is on strong design skills. Experience designing and building small-run in-house prototypes prior to production is desired. Prior experience in working with and managing small teams is a bonus.
There will be a strong emphasis on both design and analysis skills. Sheet metal expertise is a must, as is experience designing mechanisms.
