indeed, i'm just thinking buying a handheld scope or a pc-based scope.

any pros and cons?

i consider them because no need to have a more big instrument at home.

It's still not a well-formed question. A good start would be to make a well-formed sentence, or perhaps even a paragraph; the need for ESP would decrease. But basically it's going to be hard for anybody to give you any useful information unless we know what you want the instrument for, whether you want used or new, what "cheap" means to you, what your level of skill with the instrument is, whether you have the tools and know-how to calibrate or repair a used scope, ...

Some Googling through old posts on this newsgroup will give you a sense of what others have answered to similar questions, and of what kind of information you need to specify before your question is meaningful.

At present your question is analogous to "any cheap two door or diesel car."

Handheld and PC-based scopes are the MOST expensive ways to go and have the least performance/most limitations. Get yourself an older TEK portable scope. Which one depends a LOT on what you want to do with it. mike
