Anyone ever use homeplug or other powerline networking?

For new embedded design.

Just wondering what good alternatives are, if any. Not liking the prospect of wireless for my application.

Usually, one of the key words for an embedded system is reliability, which is not really achievable in general by power line, nor wireless. There may always be interferences.
