Mam laptopa Elitebook 840 G2 i niechcący ubiłem mu LCD...
Wymiana panelu oczywiście - śmieszna sprawa - 5 minut roboty... Ale - ponieważ oryginał ma małą rozdzielczość WXGA (1366x768) pomyślałem, że możnaby, niejako przy okazji, dać nowy panel o wyższej rozdzielczości, np. FullHD (1900x1080).
Szybkie googlowanko zwraca jednak dosyć sprzeczne informacje. W niektórych miejscach znajduję, że ponieważ kabelek w tych laptopach to eDP a nie LVDS to można swobodnie robić upgrade i będzie działać. Tu jest taka informacja:

have a good news. I need a replacement of LCD top cover for my 840 G1 -
1366x768 resolution. I bought a whole display unit 737659-001 instead of cover for the same price (40 €) on eBay. I haven't mentioned, that it is a Full HS eIPS panel. I have installed it and I was pretty surprised, that display works without any issue in 1920x1080 resolution. Great upgrade! The panel has eDP signaling instead of LVDS, I don't expect any problem with replacement just a LCD panel to higher resolution.
Natomiast gdy przejdę się na eBay aby kupić taki panel 1900x1080 czytam ostrzeżenia że muszę wymienić kabelek, bo 1366x768 miał jedną parę sygnałową a kabelek do 1900x1080 ma dwie pary:

*IMPORTANT! Please, make sure you have the same screen resolution, or replacement will not work. HD screen (1366x768) uses one channel video cable, while HD+ (1600x900) and Full HD (1920x1080) use 2-channels video cable, thus they are not compatible. You can upgrade screen resolution by switching video cable to Full HD only! Please, refer to manufacturer to find compatible video cables for HD+ and FullHD resolutions.
I komu mam wierzyć? Ktoś się tu może bawił Elitebook 840? Czy panel 1900x1080 podejdzie czy muszę szukać kabelka? Jeśli mam wymienić kabelek, to jaki kabelek potrzebuję?

na tej liście jest tylko jeden kabel: "730954-001 Display panel cable" Mimo, że opcji wyświeltaczy kilka... nawet z touchscreenem. A może warto brać ten ekran dotykowy?? :-) Ktoś pomoże?
