Philips tuner FT561 display keeps flickering and no radio station can be tuned

Hi,

I'v got a digital Philips FT561 tuner of which the display keeps flickering. As a result of this the radio stations cannot be tuned.

I've done some measuring and the powersupply gives a steady 12 volts (Q801 - 7812). When I measure on the cristal of the uPC, which is also the stereo tuner (MN1527KMB), I found that the cristal is not oscilating very neat. Therefor I replaced both cristal (X501 - 4.5 Mhz) and the two capacitors (c509 and c508 - 22pF). Unfortunatly no result so far. It looks like something is making a short circuit of some kind which is corrected automaticaly after a few microsecond, or that the power supply to the uPC is not steady enough of some kind.

does anyone has an idea? Perhaps a diagram of the uPC chip will help a little bit. (or maybe a diagram of the tuner itself)

Thx for the response. Fred
