Why Jefferson Is Critical for Engineers

Design should serve the needs man.

Without Jefferson, you aren't serving the needs of man. You are serving nonsense or even worse, despotism.

Try this one:

"For I have sworn upon the altar of god eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the _mind_ of man."

-- Jefferson

A little Jefferson will go a long way in promoting money making patents.

You are too obese to get any physical exercise so it shouldn't be too surprising you cannot function mentally either.

Here's your current routine:

  1. you go to supermarket and load up on Twinkies and chips.

  1. you return home and log on sci.electronics.basics

  2. you stuff junk food into your face and type nonsense.

This is the routine you'll have after reading a little Jefferson:

  1. you go to supermarket and load up on Twinkies, Little Debbies, ice cream and chips as usual.

1a. you go to produce counter and buy asparagus and mustard greens.

1b. go to check out and leave Little Debbies, chips and other junk food on tabloid rack.

  1. go home and steam greens for 2 minutes and eat them _away_ from the keyboard.

  2. After of losing 1 lb a week for a few years [about halfway into Biden's first term] you can start getting some physical exercise.

  1. Once you feel relaxed after cycling or running start posting again.

A lot of sedentary types don't have a clue as to how much exercise is necessary for a human to live a normal life. There's some tribe in the Copper Canyon in Chihuahua that can run 24/7. Running a marathon before breakfast isn't anything to them. They hunt by chasing a deer until it falls over from exhaustion.

Sounds to me like patents are "tyranny over the _mind_ of man."

We'd be much better off without them. Copyrights are fine, with a sensible time limit.

You discovered another way to get your sphere of influence down to the size of a ping pong ball but you probably shouldn't try to copyright it.

Post your money making copyrights. A text book on fields rehashing what everyone already knew will work.

It will help spur the idle chatterboxers here to, well, . . . never mind.

It looks a lot like you are trying to pull something very similar to violating Rule 11 of the Fed. R. Civ. Proc. when disreputable types try to snooker the federal judiciary they get summarily tossed for failure to sign the court documents..

Judges hire graduates out of law school and their job is not very lofty. Their job is mostly to check to see if the papers were actually _signed_.

Lurkers and posters are no different than judges. A photo of a computer card is as worthless here as Al Gore in a dust devil.

As worthless as an unsigned affidavit.

The physical design of the board matters, and it's protected by copyright law. As is its manual, schematic, firmware, and FPGA design. And probably its register layouts.

And it's not "a computer card."

How dreary and demeaning it must be to be a law clerk. To design great electronics, all you do is do it.

Jefferson was a polymath, that is, he was accomplished at everything.

"The feeble engines of despotism" anticipated gas turbines.

Economic insecurity fuels the ignorant religious right which votes for the GOP which creates economic insecurity which fuels . . .

The compressor feeds the combustor which powers the turbine which spins the compressor . . .

Yawn. Most of today's scientific disciplines hadn't even been thought of. Even if he knew everything for his time, he would still be a moron in today's world. That must be why you fantasize about him. He would be as ignorant as you are.

BTW, I heard you finished two of 'The world's largest hamburgers' for lunch.
