Well, I decided to just try turning off the speakers without switching a resistor in at the same time because the stereo is fairly old and the CD players skips once in a while so if the thing quit I could buy a new one. Oh well, it just keeps on working. I even tried turning the radio up loud and toggled the switch a few times. The darn thing still works. So, thanks for the suggestions all, I can now mute the stereo. Eric R Snow
