I would like to be able to test circuits in tight spaces and it looks like this addition would work.
It's too bad they don't list the internal dimensions of the part which attaches to your meter leads.

This sttyle has been popular for decades. It says "solderable" which I int erpret to mean that you open it up and solder your lead wire to the obvious place. It will be a good test of your soldering skills as you learn to at tach your wire without melting the clip assembly (it can be done, but it ma y take you some practice).
That's because there isn't an internal part that attaches to you meter leads. You remove the cap and solder a lead to it inside. I have put crocodile clips on the other end of the lead on mine.

I was planning to use it for testing circuits, but I guess I can learn to h old two wires/chips together when I solder.

When I've used them, I straightened the hook which allowed it to come apart for soldering.
I forgot to mention that these are great for making temporary connections to DIPs and through-hole parts on 100-mil (25 micron) centers. They are nearly useless for surface-mounted parts.
