Hi guys:
I've got an application where I'd like to strip the ends of a ribbon cable, insert them through holes in a PCB and solder them in permanently. The holes are spaced at the same pitch as the ribbon wires. Is there an easy way to strip the ends without using a specialty tool?

go get an inline IDC plug & socket - rather than messing about with stripping and soldering - much neater solution.
when you say they are at the same pitch as the cable, you mean at .05" spacing. are these holes in a single row on the board, or dual row?

One of these does all sorts of wires & cables plus strips ribbon cable up to 10 strands at a go.
