Either put up or shut up. Tell us why it IS a code violation to put a CT around the neutral only. I did at least take the time to do some research. I amin a position where peoples safety is at my hands everyday and I am very concerned about safety. In a gcfi the situation calls for the CT to be around the neutral and line for a different reason, to sense current that is not returning back on the neutral IE-

again, tell us why it isnt acceptable on a neutral that is after the breaker? Quit telling us "code this and code that" when you cant even cite the appropriate code in question.

You've had a reasoned explanation. If you can't understand it, too bad.

No you do, fields of manure.
