Hello all,
Im in need of some assistance, I have been scouring the web, leaving posts in forums etc to find out some info. I have never used MCU's before and my lecturer has asked me to build a device using a MCU that can connect to a mobile via a serial connection, to a MCU, then read a message then output that message to a second larger display, ie dot matrix, led matrix etc. As i have never used MCUs before I am struggling to pick the right MCU for the job there are so many and i dont know where to start. My lecturer has simply suggested PIC MCUs as we already have the dev kits for those types of MCU.
Any assistance would be great, thanksin advance for any tips.
