Getting rid of Adobe message at boot-up

Every time I boot up, I get a msg that my Adobe Acrobat Pro v8 has new updates. How do I get rid of the message?

I'd consider getting rid of Adobe Acrobat itself; at my previous workplace I did have to use Windows on a pretty much daily basis and Foxit Reader can do most of what AA does and it doesn't eat your hard drive and RAM in the process.

For XP: Start > Run > msconfig Startup Tab>['Unclick' offending executable(s)]> OK > Restart

Install the updates, as the message suggests.

If you have questions about Windoze, why aren't you asking those in a group with *Microsoft* in its name? ...or "Windows"? ...or "Adobe"? ...or "Acrobat"? ...or all 3 of those? news:adobe.acrobat.windows
