Digital Potentiometer

Feb 28, 2007 9 Replies

Hi,

I have been trying to source an AD5220 digital pot in the UK. I have tried my usual sources (Maplin etc) plus a good trawl of the web but to no avail ... one guy suggested a company [who's name evades me at the mo] but they had a high minimum order.

Does anyone know where I can source these in the UK (only looking for a couple as part of the "What's a Microprocessor?" kit). Happy if anyone can suggest an equivalent 10k digital pot.

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi,

Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately the only one of the companies linked who could supply the 5220 (others didn't stock or were no longer stocking) would only supply in bulk :-(

Any idea of anyone in the UK that supplies retail?

Andrew

Well.... Farnell do have it but there's that minimum order value issue.

Why does it have to be a UK supplier? Digikey has some on stock with a mnimum order of 1. eg. AD5220BNZ10-ND

The £20 min order doesn't bother me but unfortunately they only have the

100k - its the 10k I'm looking for :-(

When I started looking for this I hadn't realised it was going to be a problem to find!

I think I give Google (and the US Ebay site) another go :-)

I now Microchip sells digital pots, in 1 off quantities, but don't know abut the shipping charges or availablity of the 10K. Might give them a try. ___
