Have TV Video and DVD player. Video and DVD are modern with usual multitude of connections. The TV is older has one scart plug only. The Video In and out and audio in and out are labelled but blocked so they are probably not connected. How can I set up the Video and DVD player? Is it possible to use a multiple scart plug and set up Video to TV and DVD to TV? Or how do I link Video and DVD and then single scart to TV?

This is my understanding.
The idea as I understand it is that several devices can be connected to one scart provided they only provide a signal when active. Since a VCR normally provides a tuner signal when not playing a tape, you'll have to put it into standby to use the DVD if they're coing to share the scart.
