48v to +5 and +/- 12

Nov 19, 2010 8 Replies

I am looking for either an 'off the shelf' or schematic (or point me to where I may find one) for a psu. 48v input, output +5v @1A, + / - 12v @

100mA.

A few years ago, the market was a wash with block converters, but they seem to have all but vanished

Can anybody help please.

That's an easy one; telephone companies use millions of those. I presume you mean 48V DC for the input? Something like PTK15-Q48-D12-T , available at DigiKey.

Instead of 'psu' look for DC/DC converters, triple output.

Unobtainium at DigiKey, plus no 5V out.

They _do_ have this, though, at $93.72, qty 1 ...

+5 @ 4A +15 @ 330ma

-15 @ 330ma

$8.95

Oops...

That's for 9 - 18V in.

They don't have a 48V in, 3 output one, but from the data sheet at:

it looks like the TWR-5/1000-12/210-D48A will work.

The output should be isolated from the input?

Yes.

Thanks for everybodys help. The Power-One item looks to fit the bill
