qualcuno ha mai usato l'LTC4053 per caricare una batteria al litio? Vorrei aggiungere un led per indicare la fine carica: ovvero che si spenga a carica conclusa.
Pensavo di usare il pin 1 CHRG, ma nel datasheet leggo:
"CHRG: Open-Drain Charge Status Output. When the battery is being charged, the CHRG pin is pulled low by an internal N-channel MOSFET. When the charge current drops to 10% of the full-scale current, the N-channel MOSFET latches off and a 30µA current source is con- nected from the CHRG pin to ground. The C/10 latch can be cleared by grounding the SHDN pin, momentarily, or toggling Vcc . When the timer runs out or the input supply is removed, the current source is disconnected and the CHRG pin is forced high impedance."
Mi sembra semplice mettere un led tra i +5V e questo pin, così da tenerlo attivo durante la carica (N-MOS acceso). Al timeout del timer il pin viene messo in alta impedenza spegnendo quindi il led.
Non mi è chiaro però il concetto dell'ultima parte di carica, in particolare cosa si intende con "the N-channel MOSFET latches off"? Non ho mai sentito questa espressione.
