I don't know if the Chimayo Brand you got is true Chimayo ground red chile or not. It might actually be from some local growers (Abq. area) or possibly from Hatch. The news article seems to suggest that what you got might not actually be from one of the very few chile fields left in Chimayo. Although I'm a native of the state, I rarely eat or cook with "red" so I can't offer an informed opinion.
