Picked up a great heaping bunch of these obviously obsolete devices.
RFM RP1064. Even found a data sheet.
Who would use one for what?
There ar hints that some UHF channel 38 wireless microphones may use them.
But 617.5 is neither the channel 38 sound or video carrier.
data sheet says "designed for the stabilization of UHF tv modulators". But why this frequency?
I hope that they all fit into one large garbage bag.

617.5 MHz might be the carrier freq used for wireless mics on Ch 38 which would NOT be the same as the video or audio carrier for TV.
And there would be certain advantages for it not be receiveble by a tv set that just happens to flip through channel 38.
I wonder if the parts are mis-marked, though that doesn't account for why the spec sheet talks about a tv modulator.

Well yes, but better to have a practical application.
It's like the old Meshna-type surplus adds "we got us a carload of these and don't have an idea what they are suppose to do, so you can get them cheap". But then sometimes someone would find an application, or even information about them, and the price would jump because it's no longer as useless junk.
I seem to recall one of those old-time surplus places even offering merchandise in return for information or applications for the useless junk. They'd get it really cheap, but would like to get more of a profit, and that only comes with something useful.

The classic example of these was the AN/WBL54-D/U's which until recently sold for $23.50 each. These ZPE phase nutators let you reduce your power bill by 98 percent. The slip rings alone also have 35 pounds of silver in them.

617.5 * 4 = 2470MHz
I don't see a datasheet via Google. Is it possible you have a ceramic filter instead of a resonator?
