what does the RC series do?

If I have a cap source to discharge big current into 50 ohm using pulse mode, like using a relay or mosfet as load switch, pulse is very narrow like 100 usec, and the 10 mfd cap source is precharged to 200V. I got a big droop ~50V if I drive the 50 ohm directly.

but if I put a 22 mfd cap in series with the 50 ohm load the pulse shape is beautiful with much less droop ~5V.

What happened? impedance matching? resonance load? but I am confused that the cap is to store the energy. It helps to deliver more power into the 50 ohm during discharging.

How to calculate the max current from the 10 mfd? and how to calculate the cap? any other way to do it?

my circuits is much like this one but I have a capacitor charging flyback to replace the power amp. The flyback is working in cw mode.

sounds like you have lots of R in the cap ? That would be ESR. the question is, does this voltage recover to some point above that when the 50 ohm is removed from the load? If so, then it is ESR in the cap, if not, then you have a Time Constant issue.

100us is fast for that size of cap, you could be experiencing L (induction) in the package, on top of any DC R you may have.

If you're looking for energy stored in teh cap.

j= (CV^2)/2

J being the Joules, C = cap in Farads and V (E) in volts.

1 Joule/Sec is 1 watt of energy

You can also calculate constant current over a time..

That would be I = (C*V)/t this also means that V (volts) change in time (T). and of course, C is in farads.

Keep in mind, these calculations are not perfect if the cap has some internal R in them, and they all do..

see fig 2 in teh article. I wonder why the aux cap couldn't discharge the cap through the h bridge , waveform is ugly, but after I put a cap in series with the 50 ohm load, the load is a R-C like snubber circuits, or the R-C isolate the DC component, the aux cap can discharge the R-C nicely through the H bridge.

*DRAW* the schematic. Don't tell us it is "much like" some unidentified schematic in some pdf

You want help & it is available, but those who would like to help you need to know what you have in mind.
