Hi What does glue-less or nearly glue-less means in processor interfacing? Thanks

It means that you generally don't need to add any more IC's , say a 74 logic gate, to interface with other integrated circuits, such as an LCD driver or I2C serial interface

... because attaching the peripheral to the processor is called "gluing", and the extra logic you use is called "glue".

So "glueless" means you don't have to add any glue.

Do you need to implement control loops in software?
"Applied Control Theory for Embedded Systems" gives you just what it says.

The "glue" people refer to are those chips with a few gates in them. Glue-less means that there is no need to invert or buffer or whatever the odd signal here and there. All has been thought out. These chips are also called jelly bean chips sometimes. Getting rid of them is good for many reasons, including reduced cost in volume applications.
