Voting

I waited about the same, maybe 10 minutes. I voted against the tax increases California is pushing to save the schools. The problem is, the new tax just replaces money they stole from the schools to pay teacher retirement benefits.

I know. That's why Obama doesn't have a brth certificate. He's one of the illegal aliens from that ship.

Teacher's pay should be adjusted to match the average grades of their students.

Then the teachers respond with grade inflation.

Since my wife is visually impaired, we get the absentee ballots so we can sit down and go through it step by step. Here in Cal, you hvae a few 'people' races, and then two pages of 'propositions' where some special interest has paid folks to get signatures to put special considerations into law around the legislature. Two of them were to raise taxes "To help our schools", i.e. to get them more money to spend so that they don't have to waste the general funds on unimportant things like schools, police or fire protection...

There was one page of candidates and three pages of propositions.

Yes, once they were discovered. But how much of this must be going on out there that has not been found out yet?

It's rather hard to terminate them before the problem is discovered, no? It's impossible to know. The best that can be done is to scrutinize them all and make very public examples of those who are caught. It should be made a criminal offense but that's unlikely.

I have a problem with the video. I believe it was faked.

  1. The view frame was intentionally trimmed on the sides. This suggests that video editing software was used to "produce" the video.
  2. There's no reason to trim the sides, which resulted in two large black areas on the video, unless there was something to hide. In this case, it prevents identifying the voting machine manufacturer, the state where it was filmed, and most important, simplified the editing of the finger position, which incidentally barely moves.
  3. Some Android phones have image stabilization. My Droid X does not. The videos can be jerky, but not as bad as in the video. The jerkiness also does not seem very "natural" or smooth. However, it is consistent with re-ordering frames and editing the position of the tiny finger around the voting machine image.
  4. I did manage to read one candidate from the video from the out of focus junk at the end. John Maher, who is running for Auditor General in Pennsylvania.
  5. Why was the last 6 out of 18 seconds left in the picture when the video had obviously been edited to trim the view frame? Also, the last 6 seconds is quite smooth and what I consider normal for an Android phone camera, unlike the jerky image of the voting machine screen. Why the change? Perhaps because the voting machine part was edited, and the last 6 seconds of junk was not?

At the very least, they should never be allowed to work at any school in the future.

I see that you don't get sarcasm. Or much of anything else. You just fly off the handle like a good little nazi.

They shouldn't be allowed on the property of any school system, even if their kids are going to school there.

The teachers' union might have something to say about that.
