Hello Guys,
I am wondering what a good "powered" subwoofer replacement for the creative labs gigaworks s750 would be ?
These ones look nice but I am not sure:
According to the RMS rating the CHT-12Q would be equivalent... but I always had the subwoofer of the S750 on all low, so I think it's overkill ? (It's also **bleep** expensive !)
The CHT-8Q looks real nice but is it to weak ??? I am just looking for a device which can "produce" the low frequency noises from 0 HZ to 100 HZ or so... More or less at the same volume as my speakers... maybe a bit louder... for "hue choppers" or so...
I have not been totally statisfied with the sound so far without a subwoofer I miss the low frequency sounds kinda !
Euhm... I also want to enjoy the coming Aliens vs Predator game to the max ! So that's why I am thinking of getting a powered subwoofer to combine with my Denon AVR 1909 receiver ! (And gigaworks s750 satelites)
I am curious what you electronics experts think of the CHT-8Q model... I live in appartment so sub can't be too powerfull anyway ?!?
(But I still want to make sure the sound is more or less the same as the gigaworks s750 on low subwoofer settings ?!?)
Also this seems to be a front-forwarding subwoofer, what's the difference with one pointing towards the floor ?
Maybe one pointing towards the floor is better so that the sound goes everywhere ?
Anybody have any experience with these CHT-Q8 / front forwarding subwoofers ?
Some more questions I am trying to figure out:
How many connections does it need ? Can it be connected to the Denon AVR
1909 ?I just realized I would also need a new power box for the extra power plug.. hmm.
Does it come with the necessary cables ? ;)
Apperently some setup is needed, does it have video stuff ? I don't think so... subwoofer with video stuff seems pretty crazy to me ;)
I hope it's sound quality is good ? (Without banging the neighbours to smitherines ?) ;) :)
Bye, Skybuck.
