Thanks! That is a fun demonstration of Chladni's figures on a large scale disk with a nice twist of coloured sand. Watch where he places his finger/thumb to control some of the nodes.

Chladni was also notable for suggesting that meteorites come from outer space - a controversial idea at the time. Shortly after the Paris academy of science had dismissed his idea as ludicrous l'Aigle in France was bombarded by rocks falling from the sky in 1803.
