I surely think that board stuffers have more right to be in this group than those whose jobs are less relevant to electronics such as many PHD physicists and most PHD astronomers, MBAs, non-electronics assemblers, truck drivers, lawyers, secretaries, retail workers, whatever... And this group does not have any official hurdles as to occupation! For that matter, I deliver stuff by bicycle more than I do anything else, and I have stuffed thousands of boards that I did not design, and I spent more time designing boards for clients than I spent stuffing boards!

Since sci.electronics.design has no employment test in its charter, I think that board stuffers and more still former board stuffers are if anything on an average more qualified to post here than those who never stuffed a board!
