Unluckily they only ship to the West side of the pond, so I can't have one.

It's worth a trip to the Amazon link just to read the reviews.

A sampling: 'A caution to people buying these: if you do not follow the "directional markings" on the cables, your music will play backwards. Please check that before mentioning it in your reviews.'

I used to think that nobody actually bought such stuff. One of my friends (name withheld) advertised his product, but somehow left the decimal point out of the advertised price, which made it appear 100 times as expensive. Two people ordered it and paid for it at the 100x price before anyone noticed. He's one of those nearly extinct honest businessmen so he tried to return the money. One was to a large corporation which literally had no means to accept the partial repayment and several times suggested that he keep the money. The other turned out to be an employee of a competitor, who was apparently about to reverse engineer the product. He kept the money from them.

At a former employer, some of the new radio products weren't selling very well. The hired gun (i.e. consultant) declared that they looked cheap and flimsy. So, we added some weight (steel plate), changed the model numbers, did some cosmetic touchup, and drastically raised the price. Inside was the same old electronics. From that point on, it sold VERY well with an impressive margin. What we had done was find a whole new class of buyers, this time, with money.

Sorry, but the cable isn't long enough to stretch across the pond.

For that price they could have used silver wire.
