I have a headset microphone with two 3.5 mm input/output mini-plugs (or two 1/4" (6.3 mm) phone plug adapters). Is there any way at all that I could use this with a regular phone (RJ-11)?
Thanks, Brian

Short answer: No. You need the network interface from a telephone for it to work properly.
Long answer: You could modify a cheap telephone that uses the same type of microphone and same impedance speaker and use the headset to replace the handset.
BTW, this type of question really belongs in news:sci.electronics.basics
