Kester makes solder past in a syringe (eg. NC-840). It has a shelf life and is best kept refrigerated.

and it often has useful info for smaller processes. There are lots of available articles on SMT repair and I'm sure you can find many on line.

Could someone please recommend a solder paste I could use on SMD components without damaging them? I got some non-lead Weller stuff from a hardware store for just in case, but, upon a more careful reading of the package, it says "for non-electric soldering". I don't really have a reflow oven either, will be messing around with a toaster oven ;-) Anyways, while we are at it, is there an online resource or a manual I can read about SMT soldering or a good book someone can recommend? Thanks!
