This thing set some sort of record for longest distance traveled on one charge. It traveled only 53 mph and on a track.

Or how long it took to charge it up before the stunt. Looks like it used 38 KWH so may have taken weeks to charge.

is a more interesting exercise - if just as impractical. The first race across Australia took place in 1987, and it was run a again at three year intervals for quite while before eventually being run more frequently.
